I apologize to everyone on the lack of updates around here. I'm currently in the works of means to advertise this site better with a few graphics. Unfortunately for myself, I have the crappiest things to work with. So it may still be a while, but just hang tight and keep on RPing! It's our members that keep this site alive, so I'm counting on all of you to just keep it up! :)

As you may or may not have noticed, there are some new images popping up on the site. They look cool, huh? I thought so, too! They're still in the progress, but by the time I'm done, all of the Tribe's cave campgrounds and territories listed on the homepage will have an image. So be patient because these things take time!

- May 11th, 2008 -

Just a quick note (since I just realized I haven't mentioned it anywhere else): the previous posts made on the old Tribes of the Wild haven't been made. This is only because we really didn't have a good plot forming as we posted, so I figured we should just start anew! But, if there's anything you can remember from the old site that you'd still like to have posted, please put it down. This might work for those who had a relationship forming with another cat, or maybe if you were building up to another plot. Thank you all!

- May 10th, 2008 -

Well, as all of you had noticed, the move was successful and Tribes of the Wild is now officially settled in to ProBoards! I'm looking forward to using all of the different tools Proboards provides to help this site become even greater than what it was on InvisionFree! Exciting, isn't it?... :D

In other news, though, for some of you who had been a member at Tribes of the Wild's old site, you would have noticed that the Tribe of Moving Earth is now gone! :o Never fear; go to the Announcements board and there'll be a smallish little explanation as to why that I hope you'll come to an understanding to. Thanks! :)

~ ~ Welcome! ~ ~

Hello and welcome to Tribes of the Wild! This site is a semi-intermediate RP based off of the best-selling book series Warriors by Erin Hunter, and this particular RP mainly focuses on Tribe life. The possibility of having an appearance of the Clans is still being considered, but it all depends on where the storyplot goes from here. More information on what this site is can be found here.

If you would like to get started into the roleplaying with us, please click in the Quick Links area where it says "Get Started". It shall show you step-by-step from how to sign up to how you get your character submitted.

If you need help with anything at all, please feel free to contact me, ~Leaf~, via the PM feature OR you can post in the Help & FAQ board found in the Quick Links below (mostly for you curious guests). I'll be more than happy to help! :)

Mountain Conditions:

Cool, wet nights and breezy, cloudy days. The rainshowers have started up again, freeing the frozen water from their wintry prison and flooding some parts of the mountains. Plants are budding from their winter sleep, and the prey is beginning to wake from their long slumber.

The way of life for the Tribes; members are highly recommended to read this before roleplaying, since because Erin Hunter in the original series of Warriors hasn't revealed EVERYTHING about the Tribes yet, I've had to make up a few things of my own. Tribe of Falling Snow ~ Moonwatcher

High up in the main areas of the mountains, the Tribe of Falling Snow has made themselves at home in a series of caves in the snow-capped mountains they call Sky-claw Peaks.

On the vast mountains of Sky-claw Peaks, plentiful trees of evergreen and pine grow amongst one another, sheltering the Tribe of Falling Snow as they explore. The mountains are usually covered with at least some snow year-round, but is most thick during frozen-water. Prey of usually snow rabbits, eagles, and squirrels are present in these lands.

Tribe of Burning Fire ~ Flameshifter

Underneath the once-scorched lands of an inactive volcano, the Tribe of Burning Fire has settled themselves in a series of caves inside the inactive volcano, more commonly known as Mt. Flamebroil.

Once in torture by the rage of the lava from Mt. Flamebroil, these barren, rocky lands have grown plentiful in the time they have had to replenish the land once more. But due to the many rocks among these lands, the area is hotter than the other Tribe territories. But being of a desert origin, the Tribe of Burning Fire have had no problems adapting. Prey of usually field mice, squirrels, and some eagles are present here.

Tribe of Running Wind ~ Nightstalker

Across the vast hills of the meadows and through the jungles of Tanglevine Forest, the Tribe of Running Wind has settled themselves in a series of rocky cliff-like caves, well-camouflaged by the surrounding trees.

From the wide-open hills of Lilysong Meadow, to the thick foilage of Tanglevine Forest, the Tribe of Running Wind have just about the most plentiful piece of territory amongst the other two Tribes. Prey of many sorts are present here, but is short on eagles.

This is a place that marks a great history for the Tribes, for this is the spot that they first found each other. The first ones to gather here, however, had been the Tribe of Burning Fire, so they were the ones to name it.

This area is a large clearing in the middle of the three Tribe territories with three tall rocks in the center pointing to the sky. The clearing itself is bordered with many trees and shrubs, making the meadow hard to find to cats unfamiliar with the territory. A large hole leading underground can be found along the cliffside next to the clearing, which leads down into the Cave of Rushing Water.

This spot is where the three Tribes will meet for a truce to the full moon, as commended by the Tribe of Endless Hunting.

Being named for the shimmering crystals found, its brilliant view of the stars, and the star-flowers that grow inside, the Starlight Shrine was first founded by a cat from the Tribe of Running Wind. Therefore, they were the ones to name it.

The Starlight Shrine is located in a dark cave inside the mountains. The cave can be found on the borderline of the Tribe of Running Wind and the Tribe of Falling Snow's territory, behind a hidden hollow of trees. Inside is a vast number of tunnels to travel through, finally to the Shrine itself where ancient carvings of stars and cat scratches have been made. A long, large hole in the roof shows the star-dotted sky where the Tribe of Endless Hunting can be seen watching.

The Healers of each Tribe are to gather here on the half-moon to communicate with their ancestors from the Tribe of Endless Hunting, merely by lying down to sleep in one of the pillars of light shining down on the floor. Then the Healers shall receive messages and visions in their dreams while they bathe silently in the light of the stars and the moon.

The Cave of Rushing Water was first founded by a young to-be from the Tribe of Falling Snow. So being, they were the ones to name it. And not only did they name it for the great waterfall they found inside it, but also in memory of their Tribe's ancient name.

A vast number of underground tunnels and dark, twisting paths can be found in here, each leading to either a dead-end, a passageway to another Tribe, or to the Moon Shrine. Unlike the old caves from all those seasons ago, these cannot be flooded, for the water gets filtered beneath the Silver-mist Falls.

This is where a to-be comes to prove themselves worthy by going through the blindingly-dark tunnels, finding the Moon Shrine inside, grabbing a moon-flower, and then returning back into the tunnels and finding another tunnel that leads back to their own Tribe's territory, all before dawn breaks.
